Well, there seems to be a distinct lack of metal Uruk Hai warriors in this town. It's starting to look like I might actually have to pay full price for them at the local GW store. That is, if they even have any! Last time I was there, they didn't have uruks either. Sigh. So much for the domination of Middle Earth.
I've decided to keep to my original plan of only buying metal figures, and buying enough to do the "Battle Companies" thing. That means probably another $30 or so of miniatures, so it might take me a while to get them all. (Yes, one would suspect that I'd have $30 sitting around, but with a new house and two kids my discretionary income is pretty limited right now.)
I'm quite tempted to get the Mines of Moria set, even though it's plastics. The reason for that is I want the goblins and terrain anyway, the troll is nice enough, and the rulebook, while "cut down" in some ways, will realistically be good enough for me. The extra Fellowship figures (plastic also) aren't so interesting to me since I already have them in metal, but they can't hurt. Maybe I'll give Gimli to my nephew - his Gimli got either lost or stolen. All in all, that box is a great deal compared to what those parts would cost separately ($25 for the goblins, $10 for the troll, $15 for the scenery, and throw in the rules and the Fellowship for free, basically).
