I got my first turn summary from the Dark Ages campaign I'm in. Although my raiding party met with no resistance, they did return with a wealth of raiding goods.
My reputation in the area went up, and now a mercenary unit of Basques want to join my force. (It's only appropriate, since my home territory is in the Basque country after all.) Better yet, I heard that my neighboring Amir got into a bit of a scuff and is going to be disadvantaged against me points-wise. I wonder if it's time to strike now, or if I should bide my time? Fortune favors the bold, but since I don't know where his army is, I might have trouble hitting him while he's still down.
So I'm off to a good start. I still can't get to a full army of conquest (500 pts total), but my extra points will allow me to flesh out my units a little, and hopefully add a few of those mercenaries to my force.
