I posted my Colonial Chain Reaction ideas from a few weeks ago onto the Chain Reaction yahoo list, and only one person seemed interested. And that guy never wrote back with any feedback.
So I'm left with the assumption that they're a no-starter. I may still try to play them if I ever find myself in a position to do so, but since the local club is a G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. house, I'll most likely gravitate that way.
If I can ever get my "Blood & Swash / Thunder & Plunder" rules, I'll have a light version of that system to play with, so I'm sure things will work out ok.
Christy has started to be more interested in gaming lately. We almost had a Chain Reaction game last night, though the kids torpedoed that effort. It was going to be a "Men in Black" vs. "Girls from the Typing Pool" game, even though those figures aren't fully (or in some cases even partially) painted. The figures are from Copplestone's "Future Wars" line, and are pretty amusing. The gals are all in business attire with pistols and attache cases, the MiBs are in suits with sunglasses and pistols/SMGs. I had planned to do a battle for control of the break room, or maybe "recover the payroll" or something ridiculous like that. Maybe next weekend.
